About Us
Rainbow Knights began in 2021 with a simple idea: What if we held a Pride celebration right in town, so local queer folks wouldn't need to travel so far to find community?
That first Stoughton Pride was scrappy—a handful of organizations, kid-friendly lawn games, and a decorated car competition. But every year after that, Pride grew. A dedicated community of volunteers built up around it, and we started to dream: what else could we do together?
Living in the suburbs ourselves, we knew the reality many queer folks face—isolation, invisibility, and the exhausting choice between staying local and finding community. So we built what we needed: a visible, local, inclusive queer community south of Boston.
In 2024, we became an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit and expanded beyond our annual Pride to monthly gatherings, an online community, and a local support network.
